Carter makes dreaded "Jeff George" comparison

Jay Cutler and Mike Martz were a topic of discussion on ESPN's "Sunday Countdown."

When asked if Cutler would survive in Mike Martz's offensive scheme, Cris Carter said, "Great talent in Cutler, but what I'm seeing is same thing I saw in another great talent, talent undeveloped, and the perfect storm. Cutler and Mike Martz equals a guy, Jeff George...Great talent, undeveloped."

"I think he's shell-shocked," Da Coach said. "I think he's losing his confidence back there."

I said that last week. Once again this is another game (h has more bad games the good) that will prove Jay Cutler is a bust.

Before you act as though your life was going to end because of a trade that didn't happen and decide that you don't have to call the owner back you'd better think about what will happen. NO qb is a savior and no OC who always manages to upset his employees can create magic. Cutler wanted out and he got it. Now he's stuck trying to figure out what to do. Troy Aikman wasn't Jimmy Johnson's guy, it was Steve Walsh. Jerry Jones wanted Troy and got his wish, but unlike Cutler, Aikman proved his franchise worth and Walsh was sent packing. There wasn't anywhere good for Troy to go so closing his mouth and performing was his message. Both sides of the Aikman-Cutler situation should serve as a wake up call for all athletes who think they know better. Act like Aikman and win titles down the line. Act like Jay and there's a chance you don't know where you're going. I don't feel sorry for him either because he brought alot of this on himself. If you can't bring the oline and BMarsh then stay put. I believed it then and I believe it now, Josh got him good.

Any QB that comes to Chicago will be a bust. The Bears will figure out a way to ruin them.

I can't figure out if Lovie is a genius or a complete moron. He looked like the latter in the 3rd quarter when he challenged the play that was obviously the correct call on Bennett being short of the goal line. And then inexplicably, doesn't call for replay on the next play when it was clear Cutler crossed the plane line of the goaline before fumbling. Idiot.

Although, he could be a genius for convincing the Bears hos good he supposedly was to give him a long term contract when he knew he could suck as much as he wants, and they wouldn't fire him be cause they are cheap. Same goes for Angelo. How does one keep his job when he is that bad at drafting?

Wow! They are bad.

I know Cutler deserves alot of blame but Da Coach is right. He is shell shocked and no QB would do good behind this o-line and with this set of receivers. I will admit I was happy the bears got Cutler, and I totally forgot that JA would not surround him with the talent needed to win. I hope JA and Lovie get dumped and the bears hire a good coach and gm so we can see if Cutler is a bust or not.

Hey up rooted, Jay C is supposed to make the present team around him better not the other way around. Jay C is not performing at Pro-Bowl caliber status. He ain't shell-shocked, he simply doesn't care! Why? He cannot holla for another trade and he is getting his butt kicked because he refuses to move around in the pocket and look for the open receiver.

I refuse to believe professional football QB(s) don't have sense enough to call an audible when that crap the OC is calling does not work and deal with it when getting to the sidelines.

What are the coaching staff going to do, bench him? I don't think so!

Do you think Brett Favre actually committed to each play that was called in from the sidelines?
