It's official: Williams, Wright will not play

Lovie Smith announced after Saturday's practice that starting left tackle Chris Williams (hamstring) and rookie safety Major Wright (hamstring) will not play against the Packers on Monday night, not that it was a big surprise.

Both were injured against the Cowboys last week.

Wow big shocker!!! What happens if Frank O has a good game against the Pack. In a way I think Lovie wants him to for the win, but he is not going to like all the questions about moving Williams when he comes back.

Cant wait to see how Omiyale does.

I'm more upset about Wright, than Mr. Wrong, I mean, Williams. What a huge draft mistake. Man up dude.

all of this and more discussed on my Bears preview show

This really upsets me bad, that Chris Williams, the bestest and wonderfulest tackle in the NFL will not play Monday. I get as teary eyed at the site of a Chris Williams jersey as Glenn Beck gets at the site of an American flag.

Might be the best news I've heard all day!!!

I bet Cutler ain't too disappointed hearing this either.
