LAKE FOREST, IL - With the Chicago Bears 2010 preseason home opener slated for this upcoming Saturday, the following is a list of reminders and stadium upgrades this season that fans should be aware of to make their experience at Soldier Field more enjoyable on gamedays:
Any type of bag, purse or backpack brought into the stadium MUST fit into the 12"x12"x12" template box at each gate. Any bag larger than the template box will not be permitted into the stadium. All bags will be searched and tagged, if necessary. The Bears and Soldier Field management cannot safeguard any prohibited items.
The security texting short code has been changed to 69050 (last year was 41513) for the 2010 season. Fans are encouraged to report unbearable fan behavior by texting security. Text the keyword "Bears", followed by a space, describe the issue and exact location where assistance is needed to 69050. Stadium personnel will be dispatched to provide assistance.
Fans may not bring alcohol into Soldier Field or leave the stadium with alcohol at any time. Patrons attempting to bring alcohol into the stadium are subject to ejection.
A new Bears Pro Shop is being built in the South Courtyard and is scheduled to open early in the regular season.
All fans will enjoy enhanced communication and in-game statistics featured in the four new End Zone LED signs. The LED signs will be installed during the 2010 season.
The two-year conversion of new HD flat panel TV's has begun with the Comcast Bears Den, Miller Party Deck, United Club and Suites, with the remainder of the conversion to be completed by 2011.
The Bears Ultimate Tailgate will continue this season beginning two hours before each of the first four regular season home games outside the stadium on the southeast lawn.
