Bears cut Peterman

| 3 Comments | No TrackBacks

To make room for quarterback Todd Collins, who was signed Monday, the Bears waived injured receiver Eric Peterman. The former NU standout muffed a punt that Oakland's Slade Waters recovered in the end zone for a touchdown in Saturday night's 32-17 exhibition loss to the Raiders.

Why he was fielding that punt is beyond me.

This is HORRIBLE!! You don't cut Pro-Bowl talent like this. I just can't believe Angelo would let the next Jerry Rice get away, but that's what has happened here.

Cutting Peterman is absurd! I know we need Collins - and maybe 2 or 3 more QB's the way Chris Williams is letting them get smothered - but dumping Peterman doesn't make sense.
Angelo and Smith are just plain ridiculous - FIRE THEM NOW!
