Bears Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs has a heart for underprivileged children, and his foundation is hosting the event at Lumen in Chicago on April 12.

"'A Reason to Dream' is a way that we can make a change in our community and give kids a reason to dream," Briggs said.

Briggs4kidz will feature other NFL players, including Jerry Azumah and Tim Shaw, as well as community VIPs.

Briggs4Kidz (www.lance-briggs.com/foundation) focuses on raising funds and providing guidance for poverty stricken youth. The foundation also helps children in Lance's hometown of Sacramento, as well as Phoenix.

General tickets purchased this month are $55 while VIP tickets are $155. They are available through his website.

I am glad to see Azumah still around and active in the community. He was the first of the "don't know where to play him" guys that was sent all over the map, and strangely, was a Pro Bowl kick returner as well.

He came out of college as the Payton award winner as a RB, and we immediately made him a CB, and then later in his career tried him at safety. A neck injury ended his career early, but the light was starting to come on for him as a nickel back prior to his abrupt retirement....Sound familiar? Only the progression is reversed. Manning has basically been the same player, and is equally as confused with all the bouncing around from position to position.
