Shane Day will become the Bears new quarterbacks coach later today, according to multiple league sources.
Day, who has been the 49ers quality control assistant the past three years, met Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz when Martz was San Francisco's offensive coordinator in 2008.
Before that, he was quality control/assistant quarterbacks coach at Michigan for three seasons.

So now the offensive staff is in place, and we can get to work. Now all we need is a D-coordinator. I think Alan Williams is the choice, and we should hear about it on Wednesday of next week. He just needs to do his exit interviews with the players and rest of the staff before they get out of town.
Hopefully, his presence will be a boost to the play of our corners and safeties. The scheme is pretty well set, so he can get more involved with the safeties and corners and coach them up. Are we missing any other position coaches on defense? I can't think of any.
Are you kidding me ? We hired a guy that looks like he's currently riding the short bus to be Cutler's coach ? Jebus ....
