Saints assistant could be on Bears radar

Here's a new name to add to the Bears mix for offensive coordinator: Terry Malone.

The Bears cannot talk to him yet because Malone is the tight ends coach of the New Orleans Saints, the NFC champions. But Malone has been the tight ends coach the last three seasons, and he was an offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at the University of Michigan, where he coached Minnesota Vikings All-Pro guard Steve Hutchinson.

HHMM, this one's interesting, I had been looking at the Saints for candiates, but the name I thought we'd look at was Aaron Kromer, not Malone. Details on nfl.com shows him (Kromer) to be the better candidate, but who knows what we will end up with. Looking at S.D. and the Saints organization for candidates are good rocks to turn over as both teams offensively have been solid for the past few years and feature balanced attacks which is what we need. Now that we have versatile receivers for Cutler to work with, shoring up our o-line would generate great improvement and get us into the top half of the league offensively. This is neccessary in order for us to contend next season, we can't look for too much defensive improvement because we have at least three holes to fill; Free safety, pass rushing end, and hopes of a return to health for #54.

Any news about what coaches are at the Senior bowl looking for work anyone? Any update on the status of Jerry Gray for d-ccordinator he was once a "hot" head cocahing candidate???

See, now THIS disappoints me! Lovie has no more friends to hire! Lovie needs to hire his friends or I wont be happy! Lovie has the bestes friends when it comes to coaches, and they are the most successful, dang gum it! Lovie don't you dare give up on your friends. You will be a backstabber and a traitor to your Loviests! Don't you dare listen to what Cutler and your players say, let alone the trash fans! You go Lovie, GO!!!

Hey, why not Terry Fox while we're at it ?

I'm not sure about Terry Malone. Of all the names that have popped up lately, I kind of like Kevin Rogers the quarterbacks coach from Minnesota. Rogers didn't do a bad job with Tavaris Jackson, in 2008 Jackson had 9 td passes to 2 picks, that isn't bad. Jackson's 59.1 comp % in 2008 wasn't bad either. Rogers seems to be able to get the most from his players. Not just Jackson, to me, whats even more impressive, is the work he did with Brett Favre this past season. I'm not talking about Favre's passing yardage or td passes, Im talking about Favre's lack of interceptions this season. For the first time in Favre's career he wasn't among the league leaders in picks, a lot of that falls back on Rogers coaching. Jay Cutler is a lot like Favre with that gun slinger mentality. Cutler and Rogers could be a nice combo for that reason alone. Whatever Rogers did with Favre, maybe he can do it with Cutler. Kevin Rogers is definitely worth an interview GO BEARS!!

The word is Virginia may contact Rogers for their open OC job. Rogers commented recently on how much he loved Virginia and would love to live their again. That job would supply him with less stress and more security than the Bears. Not to mention he spoke for half a page on his love for Virginia. McNabb is also pushing him to get into the college ranks again.
