Desmond Clark's rapid return from broken rib continues

| 8 Comments | No TrackBacks

Chances are improved that tight end Desmond Clark will return from a broken rib after missing only two games. Clark is expected to have full participation in practice this afternoon when the Bears get going in about an hour. Clark has had two days of limited practice--Wednesday and last Friday.

Running back Matt Forte (knee) is also expected to have full participation after being limited on Wednesday.

Linebacker Lance Briggs (foot) will also return to practice on a limited basis today. The same goes for long snapper Pat Mannelly (arm) and defensive linemen Israel Idonije (knee), Anthony Adams (knee) and Alex Brown (ankle).

Linebackers Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) and Hunter Hillenmeyer (rib) are out and it looks less likely they will be available Sunday.

I hope Dez is not coming back too quick. We will need him come Decemeber. Also I hope Forte gets its going here soon. Gotta win this game on sunday.. Going into the off week at 3-1 would be a god send. And Roach looked darn good at the MLB spot. He actually looked quicker then Hunter when he moved over. He also seems to pack a heavier punch when he goes to lower the boom. Maybe he is better inside then out. Lets hope. We need a thumper in the middle to liven it up. I like Urlacher, but he isnt a thumper. You want a someone that makes the hits heard in the upper decks. I hate Ray Lewis, but his hitting ability really elevates the Ravens D. Early prediction for sunday.. Bears-27 Lions-17.. and Forte gets a 100..

Clark should sit this week and use the bye week to further heal.

Let's hope the Bears put Detroit away early,- so we can rest some of the vets as well.
I like the way this season has sit up thus far.

I agree he should sit.

If you can't beat the Lions at home without Dez Clark, you're hopeless.

It's not that he isn't an excellent player. The Lions are just that bad.

Cutler should drop about 400 on them.

Rest Des this week and get another look at K Davis. He looks good when used.

Kellen Davis looks real good in replacing Dez Clark I say rest him and let K.D. shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having Clark back is good, but Davis filled in very well.Competition is the name of the game, and this one should make both players better.

if Clark is healthy and feels ready to go then he goes. this is the nfl. you don't take weeks off against anybody unless you're truly not able to help the team win because of an injury.

SIT DOWN DEZ!!

I know you smell half a dozen receptions and a score against the Lions...but you will be needed down the road when the weather gets nasty and your experience will payoff.

Da Bears 38 - Lions 6
