Western Illinois linebacker Williams makes it 11

| 4 Comments | No TrackBacks

There cannot be many more dates left on the calendar between now and the draft for Western Illinois linebacker Jason Williams, a DuSable product, to squeeze in a visit.

But Williams managed to find room for the New York Jets. They become the 11th team Williams has or will visit prior to the draft, the product of eye-opening performances at the Western Illinois and Northwestern pro days last month.

Williams surprised scouts with his speed at Western and then was the main attraction in Evanston. Now he is poised to go from being off the radar to perhaps being a third-round pick.

Can we get the season started already?? When will Jay Cutler throw out the first pitch and/or sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" at Wrigley? I'll be there!!! GO BEARS!

I bet John Tait wishes he didn't retire so soon!!

I also bet greedy Berrian wishes he stayed here. We have a franchise QB for the next 10 years and he gets Tarvaris "I shouldn't be in the NFL" Jackson and Sage "my parents are hippies" Rosenfels.

GO BEARS.
