We take this break from our regularly scheduled Jay Cutler news to report another draft development.
Bears defensive line coach Rod Marinelli put Northwestern tackle John Gill through a private workout on Tuesday.
Gill is considered a late-round prospect who might come off the board as early as Round 5. Midwest scout Jeff Shiver was at Gill's NU pro day, and he has he kind of quickness to get off the ball and be disruptive.
Gill put up 29 reps on the bench press at 225 pounds and did the three-cone drill in 7.09 seconds. The 6-3, 302-pounder is one to keep an eye on.
