Brandon Jacobs is going to sit out today's game at Minnesota.
We'll see how much Giants coach Tom Coughlin wants to play some of his other key starters at the Metrodome. Giants tight end Kevin Boss will also miss the game. The Bears are banking on a win by the Giants coupled with a victory here over the Texans. That would secure the NFC North for the Bears and give them a home playoff game next weekend.
Here are inactives for the Bears:
3rd QB Caleb Hanie
WR Devin Aromashodu
CB Marcus Hamilton
RB Kevin Jones
G Terrence Metcalf
DT Matt Toeaina
LB Hunter Hillenmeyer
DE Ervin Baldwin
For Houston, Morlon Greenwood will replace Xavier Adibi at weak-side linebacker and Brandon Harrison will replace Nick Ferguson at strong safety.
There's a nice piece in the Naperville Sun today about Houston tight end Owen Daniels, who is one of three players with ties to the town who have a history with the Texans.
Daniels is one of the real threats that the Bears need to keep an eye on today. You can make a case that Daniels is one of the top five at his position in the league.
