Three starters return to practice field

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

The Bears got good news on the injury front as three starters and two key role players returned to the field for a morning workout in the Walter Payton Center. Tight end Desmond Clark (right knee), strong safety Mike Brown (calf) and defensive tackle Tommie Harris (left knee) all returned to practice on a limited basis. Linebacker Jamar Williams (groin) and wide receiver Marty Booker (knee) also were back at work.

Wide receiver Devin Hester was held out with coach Lovie Smith citing rest.

The players marveled at the score in the Tennessee-Detroit game in the locker room afterward as they prepared to head off to celebrate the holiday. Many of them wondered aloud about the growing possibility that the Lions run the table and become the NFL's first 0-16 team. We'll all be more thankful to see some better games on later today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all blog readers and participants.
