Orton officially listed as doubtful for Sunday

| 3 Comments | No TrackBacks

The Bears just released their injury report for Sunday's meeting with Tennessee and quarterback Kyle Orton is doubtful, meaning you can repeat the popular phrase "Rex is our quarterback" this weekend.

Cornerback Charles Tillman is questionable with shoulder injuries after being limited in practice but he is expected to play.

Here is a list of players who all had full participation and are listed as probable:

LB Hunter Hillenmeyer (right thumb)
WR Brandon Lloyd (left knee)
DB Danieal Manning (hamstring)
FS Mike Brown (right calf)

For Tennessee, right defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch is questionable with a groin muscle pull. He sat out practice and has been battling the nagging injury for several weeks. There is a good chance he takes this weekend off.

well I'd rather have him out for one game that quite frankley is not that important in comparison to the up and coming games against our rivals. Besides I'd rather have him fully ready in a couple of weeks than roll the dice on this game. Hopefully Rex won't commit too many heinous acts of foul-ups. But only time will tell. I also hope that the crowd goes a bit easier on him unless he starts screwing up and then have at it Hass.

Here we go again,
we can only hope and is a foolish hope, that rex don't give the game away.
I am counting on the Bears D, they usually play good when odds are not with them...so lests go guys, make your self worthy of thouse big $ contracts.

P.D

Orton pls be ready for the next week

While I would of liked to see Kyle Orton add on to his already impressive stats for this season, I think it is for the better of the team that Orton sit this one out, no need in rushing him back to maybe injure Orton even worse. This game will give Grossman an opportunity to audition for other teams next season, as he is set to hit the open market in the upcoming off-season.
The QB situation has certainly caught all the hype, but its the free safety position and the rest of the defensive backfield that kind of has me wondering. I realize if Mike Brown is healthy, which by the injury report he is probable so he should be a go, is the man at free safety, my question is, who gets the nod if Brown goes down during the game, Craig Steltz or Danieal Manning? Speaking of Manning, who will start at nickle, Danieal Manning or Corey Graham? I think Graham might get the nod, but it will certainly be interesting to see who does. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy and the Bears can get on the track to winning the NFC north. GO BEARS!!
