Business is good at Halas Hall these days, according to Forbes magazine anyway.
The Bears came in ninth in the annual ranking by the publication of the most valuable NFL franchises. The Bears are valued at $1.064 billion, an eight percent increase from last season to put them in the billion dollar club.
The franchise's $226 million revenue is tied for sixth and the operating income figure of $33.7 million is fifth.
Dallas, with a new stadium on the way, is the most valuable franchise at $1.612 billion. Washington is next at $1.538 billion.
It will be interesting to chart the future of the organization moving forward. The family owned operation in Pittbsurgh is working its way through some challenges with members of the Rooney family looking to sell.
Obviously, there's a ton of money at stake here no matter what organization you're talking about.
