With the Philadelphia Eagles coming to Soldier Field, ESPN will take a look back at the legendary "Fog Bowl" as the 20-year anniversary of the playoff game quickly approaches.
I've seen a copy of the segment that will air on "Sunday NFL Countdown" and it's a nice look back at the 20-12 victory by the Bears on Dec. 31, 1988. The fog began to roll in over the stadium with two minutes remaining in the first half and the entire rest of the game was played in a complete haze.
Commentary comes from Mike Singletary, CBS play-by-play man Vern Lundquist, referee Jim Tunney and WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling, among others.
"[The Fog Bowl] was one of the most amazing weather events ever in Chicago," Skilling said.
"I thought the parking lot was on fire," Bears quarterback Mike Tomczak said.
Mike Ditka will also share his memories of the game on the show, which begins at 10 a.m.

Thanks for the tip Biggsy ... just got done watching it on ESPN. I called my dad ahead of time too to tell him it would be on. We were laughing about it over the phone because we both remembered that game well. I was 13 at the time and I haven't seen anything like it since. Absolutely looked like something out of a Stephen King book!
... Also have to concur with Randy. If you have programmers there they need to take a 101 refresher course because I could teach my 5-year old to write a captcha. It almost never works on the first time you click submit.
What was all the complaining about anyway? It was a fine day for playing football - just a little "Bear weather", that's all.
