Devin Hester is back.
The returner/wide receiver is on the practice field this afternoon for the first time since being carted off the field in Carolina during the third quarter on Sept. 14.
Hester, who has torn cartilage in his rib cage, will probably be in a limited role today but when media was allowed out at practice he was active and on the field. That's good news for the Bears, who could work him back in a limited role Sunday against Philadelphia. We'll get a better indication on his status when the injury report is released later.
Also, defensive tackle Tommie Harris (left knee), cornerback Nathan Vasher (shoulder) and defensive end Alex Brown (left ankle) were on the field. They were held out of practice on Wednesday.
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (hip) was held out. Wide receiver Marty Booker was back, a day after being excused for personal reasons.
