Hester out for Sunday's game

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Devin Hester will miss today's game against the Bucs with torn cartilage in his rib cage.

Rookie Earl Bennett will not be replacing him as a punt returner, either. Bennett is also inactive for the third consecutive game. The person who inherits the spot opened up by Hester is running back Adrian Peterson, who was down last week.

Playing catch and wearing his game socks didn't mean a thing for defensive tackle Anthony Adams, either. He's inactive for the third consecutive game also.

The other inactives:

3rd QB Caleb Hanie
S Craig Steltz
G Dan Buenning
OT Chris Williams
DT Matt Toeaina

For Tampa Bay, nickel cornerback Aqib Talib will miss the game with a pulled hamstring.

The Bucs will start Antonio Bryant and Ike Hillard at receiver.

The rest of their inactives:

3rd QB Jeff Garcia
QB Josh Johnson
RB Michael Bennett
G Davin Joseph
OT James Lee
WR Joey Galloway
DT Greg Peterson
