Rookie running back Matt Forte was limited in practice Friday with a "tight ankle" according to coach Lovie Smith.
It's the first time this week Forte's name has been mentioned when it comes to the injury report that will be released later today, but Smith insisted he will be fine for Sunday's game at Carolina.
The news seemed to come as somewhat of a surprise to Forte, who said he spent time in the cold tub to fight soreness in general.
So, expect Forte to start vs. the Panthers.

I really don't know exactly how these things work, but when players are unable to participate fully in practice it seems they aren't 100%. So this is somewhat a cause for concern. So are the apparent slight injuries to Tommie Harris, Lance Briggs & Devin Hester. While the Bears should be at full strength Sunday, they have some very important players nursing injuries. THe Bears need to stay healthy to have any chance at the playoffs this year, and considering it's only week two, I have my doubts.

rocco i dunno if you have ever played the game of football? but its kinda physical and after every game your gunna be sore everywhere, so if a guy is sore and hes one of your all stars to where if hes not in the game then you have a big drop off to the next guy, then why would u practice him? when we have guys missing the whole week and there doubtful then u should worry not after the 1st game of the year playin on turf (which is hell on your joints)....just the FYI
