| 10 Comments | No TrackBacks

We're fixing to aim our car toward Lake Forest and head to Halas Hall shortly.

The third round begins at 9 a.m.

The Bears own nine picks right now for Day 2:

3.70
3.90
4.110
5.142
6.175
7.222
7.243
7.247
7.248

We're going to change it up a little today and post new entries with each update. It's a few less steps for us than updating the same post over and over again. Check back throughout the day.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEARS!!!!

I think the Bears did a good job yesterday, considering the crazy runs that happened. I was hoping Albert, but I'll take Williams.Would love to see them take Dixon today.Heard him referred to as "a-poorman's Mcnabb" numerous times

Keep an eye on this guy - QB Ryan O'Hara from Central Oklahoma, (6-5, 239, 4.65, can make all the throws, a dark horse in this draft.) It'll be a steal if the Bears can get him in the 5th or 6rh round.

I also wouldn't mind to see Kevin O'Connell from San Diego State in a Bears uniform, but I think that O'hara has more potentials.

Come on Jerry, this is where you need to gamble on greatness. The 1st and 2nd rds look okay. We need some big time positive surprises.

Bears will be on the clock in 7 picks. Here's who's on the board and who I like in order of preference.

Chicago with the 70th pick and here is who's available in order of who I like:

Early Doucet WR
Dan Connor OLB
Mario Manningham WR
Erin Henderson OLB
Pat Sims DT
Cliff Avril OLB
Earl Bennet WR
Xavier Adibi OLB
Andre Caldwell WR
DaJuan Morgan S

I thought Doucet would be long gone by now so hopefully we can get a steal this round.

I agree with Doucet or a Safety and maybe another O- LIneman. Stop the QB crap.

Paul: JDB should be available when we draft at #90 or we could wait until later and get a Josh Johnson. I think here we need a playmaking WR, a good LB or Safety.

I can live with that pick. I like Doucet and Manningham better but the receivers are all very close. At least Bennet was a top performer at the draft in both the 40 and the 20-yard shuffle. The guy has been the ceterpiece of the Vandy offense for the past 3 years and one of the best WR to come out of the SEC. Hopefully his skills will translate to a Chicago team in desperate need to bonafide playmakers at the WR position.

Once again a Vandy player and a 3-4 yr starter at the position drafted last but not least a good character player too. Has history of good health is a technician at the position.

We are quickly coming upon #90. Chicago got their WR what way will they go now? Do we grab JDB and fill our QB need or wait until 110 and hope he falls further? Do we grab another WR with Manningham and Caldwell still available?

Mario Manningham WR
Erin Henderson OLB
Cliff Avril OLB
Justin King CB
Xavier Adibi OLB
Andre Caldwell WR
John David Booty QB
Anthony Collins OT
Carl Nicks OT
Dre Moore DT
Josh Barrett SS
