Alex Brown gets new contract

The release of wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad wasn’t the only business the Bears conducted with agent Joel Segal on Monday.

The club also signed defensive end Alex Brown to an extension through 2011.

More on this development soon.

Finally this bust is adios. The Moose blocks well but that is it. I have never seen a guy run this month like he was a big time receiver then go out and suck wind.

Now they should be starting Alex Brown and using Anderson in obvious pass situations. But hey, why go with what works?

Signing Alex Brown may signal Jerry Angelo is not done cutting salary. With Dan Bazuin fully recovered could Adewale Ogunleye be a roster casualty?
