Return specialist Devin Hester was voted to the Associated Press' All-Pro team for the second time. Hester scored an NFL record six touchdowns on returns this past season, four on punts and two on kickoffs.

He also added two touchdowns as a receiver, and his development on offense will be one of the major storylines when training camp opens. Coach Lovie Smith says he believes Hester can develop into a No. 1 receiver.

Another storyline will be whether or not the organization approaches Hester, who has two years remaining on his rookie contract, for an extension during the offseason. It could be something the club wants to put off until next season to see how he pans out on offense as he's going to be seeking a lot and there are more pressing needs in front of Hester like defensive tackle Tommie Harris.

Why extend Hester now? He has two years remaining plus the Bears should sit back and wait if Hester can improve his receiver skills. This should be a big factor when it comes to his price.

The bears should sign Hester now and lock him up for the long haul. The longer they wait the higher the price tag is going to be. The man has already shown what he can do and his potential is unlimited. Don't make the same mistake you've made in the past by undervaluing your talent, or you will pay the price later.

Definately sign him now. The Bears have a star and better keep him.
