Wednesday practice update: Urlacher has minor calf injury

| 5 Comments | No TrackBacks

The Bears finished their preparation for Thursday’s game with a workout this morning at Halas Hall before departing for O’Hare.

Middle linebacker Brian Urlacher popped up on the injury report with a new injury. He injured his calf in practice Tuesday and left the field early. He participated in today’s activities, though, and is listed as probably meaning he will start. Urlacher has been plagued since training camp with a chronic arthritic condition in his back.

Right tackle Fred Miller (right ankle) also practiced and is probable so he will return to the starting lineup after John St. Clair replaced him for one game.

Strong-side linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer (shoulder) is also probable and will start. Defensive back Corey Graham, who has been performing well on special teams, has not been on the injury report despite spraining his right ankle against the Giants, so he should be ready to go.

Defensive tackle Anthony Adams (right elbow) and cornerback Nathan Vasher (groin) will not play./

Time to find out who the Bears should keep on their defense next year. Time to let Urlacher rest, and try Briggs in the middle, and Jamar Williams on the outside. Maybe time to ready a review of the hacks on the O-Line as well.

Time to heal our injured....we are not going to the Dance this year.
Work on next year now. 500 team at best.....we are running out of people to put out on the field thanks to the letting go of players we could use now,not counting the ones on IR .

I've heard rumblings on talk radio about a possible trade for Hester for two second round picks or a first rounder. I think this is the right thing to do. We need too much and Hester will want too much later on contract wise. A trade like this willl make the bears good for years to come. I prefer the two second rounders myself. They will get a pretty high first rounder this draft, then a decent second rounder plus two more second rounders!
THey can retool the offensive line defensive line, free agen a running back and search out a quarter back to back up Orton, grossman will not be resigned and benson will be released.

Devin Hester is a keeper.
Trading him just doesn`t make sense.
Put him at Punt And Kickoff....When they get a Quarterback that can move the team from the 40 yard line Hester will be very valuable.

"Hester will want too much later on"
TIM you sound like TED PHILLIPS or ANGELO.
Thats why the Bears are WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE now
You must hold on to some talent when you find it and where you find it.

The BULLS traded every talent since MJ.they are talentless now.
SOX and CUBS has traded enough talent away to win pennants.

Keep trading your talent and get nothing but draft choices
