Hester not here for good news

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Devin Hester is not at Halas Hall today to get the good news that Raiders coach Lane Kiffin has pledged to kick the ball to him.

Hester is ill and is not at the facility, one of four players to miss practice Wednesday.

CB Nathan Vasher (groin) was doing some walking around the field when practice opened. Safety Brandon McGowan (right elbow) and left guard Ruben Brown were also sidelined.

Vasher's absence has to be somewhat concerning, making it more likely the veteran will miss a sixth game. The way the Raiders have been throwing the ball, that might not be the biggest problem the Bears could have.

UPDATING: DT Tommie Harris also missed practice with a knee injury. He is expected to start Sunday.
