Benson's career high takes a hit

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

A scoring error in the Bears-Raiders game has taken Cedric Benson's career-high 29 carries down a notch.

Somehow Benson was given credit for a four-yard scramble by QB Rex Grossman late in the third quarter. In the corrected statistics, Benson finished with 72 yards on a career-high 28 rushes.

A review of the game also took a sack away from Lance Briggs in the first quarter, turning it into a rush for a loss of six yards by Raiders QB Josh McCown.

is there anyway that the bears can put Benson in front of the offensive line then give him the ball? That may be his best chance at getting some positive yardage.
