Urlacher has a back injury

Lovie Smith revealed after Friday's practice at Halas Hall that middle linebacker Brian Urlacher missed the workout with a stiff back. It does not appear to be serious, however, as he will be listed as probable for Sunday's meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the league's new injury report format, "probable" means there is a virtual certainty Urlacher will play. Also probable will be WR Muhsin Muhammad, who sat out with an ankle injury.

TE Greg Olsen will be a game-time decision with a sprained left knee. Olsen had limited participation in practice and is expected to be questionable when the injury report is released later on.

A bigger concern will be the status of P Brad Maynard. His groin is acting up and he had limited participation in practice. Maynard is also expected to be questionable for the game. We'll look into other punting options later in the day, but Smith wasn't sharing his backup plan.

After two weeks the O Line looks old, Rex still looks like Rex, And they could use a power back. There looking at a 9 and 7 record, if that.
