Was Hillary wearing the couch cover?

A little late with this, but what the heck was Hillary Clinton wearing last week at her victory rally in New Hampshire? It looked like a sofa your grandma would have.

Sure it's tougher for a woman. All men do is put on a variation on that same dull suit they all have - with a flag pin, of course. They are the guys in the WaMu commercials (with Obama being the cool, laid back guy they bankers in the ad just don't get but are sort of in awe of maybe.)

But for a campaign like Clinton's that seems so programmed, one can only imagine the sessions deciding what she will wear for the day.

Last time I checked, Hillary was running for the Democratic nomination for President, not the editor of Vogue.

I'm sure if she were trying to be glamorous, she would be accused of being shallow, trying to sex up the race, and caring more about her appearance than her policy.

I think she was trying to 'blend' with her daughter's outfit. Maybe Chelsea picked it out for her mom for Christmas. There are some questions that just don't need to be asked, let alone answered.

Who cares what Hillary wears? Focus on the positive and quit these senseless attacks. It's people like you who aren't educated enough to vote a "qualified" candidate into office.

Wow thanks for making my decision to NOT vote for Barack. When your cover photo on January 15 portraid him as the "Golden Boy" and her as the weathered old hag, it was clear how biased your paper is! Barack obviously has an added golden hue to him, and come on, was Hilary even WEARING lip stick, much less on her EYELIDS? Sorry paper you have here people!

I don't know if bill clinton can dance obama sure can dance his away around from his non votes!

Who is running for the office of the President? Hilary or Bill? The way the media plays it up, one would think that Bill wants a 3rd term!! Both are the ones with the double talk. Does anybody remember the impeachment hearings? It depends on the meaning of such & such" Now I say to the Clintons "you are a fairy tail and not a nice one". She talks about Obama but both Clintons are great with the double talk. "What I meant to say or as the analyst interpret " what he or she were trying to say is???
Please!! voters wake up and smell the coffee! I would love to see a woman as President in my lifetime but Hilary is not that Woman! It is high time that this nation came together as pure Americans, yes no hyphenating, just Americans! Forget race, class, gender and anything else that appears as seperate. And for those who believe in her 35 years of experience; all I can say is that you live in NEVER NEVER LAND. Also, I encouraged that every American demand that the Bush Tax cuts be made permanent & cut spending. One thing I feel we need to do as a nation if we are to survive into the next century. We must always have & maintain a strong military! I cannot stress that enough! Let us all move forward to a brighter future, let the American dream continue... The clintons are not the future.

I am not from Illinois. I have been reading your paper about the Rizko situation. I am rather stunned that no one in Illinois seems upset about this...and views it a "business as usual" I read comments about he was such a friendly and nice guy. I don't know if I am misreading...or what. It seems strange to me that someone who tells the city he has no money to heat..and is cited 12 times...but has money to give to political campaigns ....well...something is wrong with this picture. Why arent you upset...and demanding answers? Those people certainly deserve better than that...and that was your tax dollar they are playing with.

Mary Mitchell said in her column today, "But strong women don't put up with reckless men, then seek the public's sympathy." She was talking about the wife of the mayor of Detroit. But she also could have inserted Hillary Clinton's name.

See this is the sort of comment that makes it so hard for woman to get anywhere in the world..

She is not in a fasion parade and she should be being seen for the policies she has and her beliefs in making this a better country.

She could wear a paper bag for all I care.. as long as she can change this country..

Hillary has nothing to prove by wearing the most expensive and best dress apparel... YAY!!!!REFRESHING!! HILLARY you go girl!! You're great!!Thank you for being down to earth and knowing what the average American is all about!! How dare this blog from creation..VERY SMALL minded people talking crap... slamming like this and makes me angry and will get you know where. Stop harrassing the best person for president.with this mindless prattle. Hillary Clinton for president!!! I absolutely love her..

"The clothes we wear send a message about how we want to be perceived." - Tim Gunn

I laugh at how upset people have gotten over the original post. The person was making fun of her clothes. That's all, nothing else. Get over it. One can only assume these Clinton supporters' panties are in a bunch is because at present time, she is losing.

Yes, we should not focus on women candidate's clothes and hair styles. It is truly sexist.

However, discussions of John McCain's horrible taste in suits, wide ties, and flaring dress collars is perfectly acceptable. Standing next to Wonder Boy Barack Obama, he will come off looking like a sweating Nixon in the Nixon-Kennedy debates. I do notice that McCain must be "gearing up" for the Obama challenge as the new suit he's worn since the day of Bush's endorsement actually shows that he has a waistline and a neck. Now if they could just throw him in a tanning booth he might have a GQ chance.

I don't care what Hillary wears. She can wear a sack cloth for all I care. i do care about the woman telling the truth or in this case not telling the truth. I an article by the asociated press titled, " Clinton Revises Remark on Women in Miss." she was quoted as saying, " What I said is what I learned is that neither Iowa nor Mississippi had ever elected a woman statewide and I referenced the fact that i was the first woman elected statewide in New york...". So lets look at the real fact, as opposed to thedeluded fact that hillery made up. Mississippi has elected several women to statewide office including two leutenent governors, also Irt would be news to U.S.Congressional Representatives Bella Abzug and Elizabeth Holzman that Hillery was the first woman statewide elected official in New york. At least Abzug and Holzman were native New Yorkers instead of carpetbaggers from Arkansas like Hillery. And they were way first. Just look it up on google.

Shame you have to stoop as low as to pick on someone's clothes.

Why is it okay to descriminate against a candidate because of his/her sex? Would anyone dare comment on Obama's suits or McCains trousers. Disgusting. No wonder the USA is a laughing stock in most other civilized countries. What a waste of time. Forget that thousands are losing their homes to foolish mortgage loans, medication is sucking the life out of the middle class and our children are being gunned down in their schools, God forbid we have a future president who isn't dressed like a freakin model.

All Presidents have been white men.

Are there voters who like Obama because he has color? Yes.

Does that make his color an asset over being white? No.

History clearly shows that being white is an asset over having color.

If having color was an asset over being white we would have had more Presidents with color than white Presidents.

We have had no Presidents with color.

To say that George W is the President because of his father is historically accurate.

George W Bush had a father who was a President.

To say that Hillary is a potential President because of her husband is historically accurate.

Hillary had a husband who was a President.

To say that Obama could be President because of his color (or is lucky to be who he is with regards to his color) is historically inaccurate.

To make (non-disparaging) remarks regarding race that are historically inaccurate in an effort to discount a candidate is not racist... but it is politically motivated and illogical.

To make (non-disparaging) illogical remarks regarding race in an effort to make race a central theme that discourages people from voting for a candidate is racist.

The irony is that this tactic uses a political liability (Obama's color) against him but cast in indirect language... this "is" very Clinton.

All Presidents have been white men.

Are there voters who like Hillary because she is a women? Yes.

Does that make her being a woman an asset over being a man? No.

History clearly shows that being a man is an asset over being a woman.
If being a woman was an asset over being a man we would have had more femal Presidents then male Presidents.

We have had no women Presidents.

Brooks Brothers should be dressing Billary, I mean, Hillary. Their women's line is flawlessly female without being too fussy or frumpy.

obama!!! will he attend the trial of friend tony for kick backs corruption etc wearing his white turban and remember 'no american flag pin on the lapel And of course it is more important to know . 'what is Hillary wearing ?" 4,ooo dead american soldiers and again what is hillary wearing ? remark heard from black comic " we have a black president ...here we go louis farrakhan as what in the bo white house? jeremiah from the "the church of the poison mind" And hillary wore what????

Some of these comments show that we are a divided nation. We can't get ourseleves together, gender wise, racially, politically, morally or economically. And we have the nerve to say to the rest of the world, "Look at us we are the greatest", In so many ways we are, but our illness is canceling out the good. We are falling my fellow Americans and there is no landing pad. Prepare yourselves for the crash. We will be peeing on ourseleves as we face our final demise and holding the hands of those we hate while doing so. If you don't belive it, just keep breathing my friends and while you are at it, read the fall of the Roman Empire, it may give you a hint.

The world is very dangerous place these days & you are worried about what Sen. Clinton is wearing? Are you for real? We got big issues in the country, where is your head at?

Americans have become FAT, DUMB and STUPID. Young people have far over spent beyond their means & have had to have things, cars, houses, cell phones, false fingernails, expensive hair cuts, jewelry, coach purses, colleges that cost 45000.00 a year, etc that took their parents 30 years to work for. (Accumulated wealth). Why is it Americans think the Government has to bail them out when they are ones that OVERSPENT & OVER ATE. Our culture has become rude, loud, fat, irresponsible, disrespectful to life & environment. Our streets are full of black youths killing each other, drugs, etc. Young teenage girls are getting STD's life never before, divorce, family values down the tubes. Americans have been spoiled and forgot what it is to need each other. We are the throw away generation & if it is not brand new & shiny they throw it out. It use to be that we had tailors, shoemakers, and other trades to repair. It was to expensive to throw something out, we fixed it. AMERICA WAKE UP, GET BACK TO BASICS AND start with some self discipline. I have met so many people that are not ready what the candidate is about, they don't have the facts about the person, they are doing what the others are doing. Americans are like sheep. Our culture has become lazy, we are followers. This election is critical, and people really need to be more informed of world affairs, spiritually, financially, environmentally, military, culturally. I don't think people really understand how important this election is to this country as I think we are in trouble. As a US Citizen I am frightend for us as I think of our future for this country. It seems the US in such trouble with everything from a seriously broken economy, global trade, social security, health care, educational and academical decline, environmental issues, national security, global reputation, crime, etc --- HOW CAN A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MAKE PROMISES that will resolve the serious issues we are facing? AMERICANS need to pull together. I am VERY disappointed in Sen. Obama, Rev. Wright -- they put another wedge in our culture, unfortunately we are not progressing, it seems with their kind of speeches, we are declining and cannot get beyond the issues of race to get to real needs. The Democrats are a mess. Sen Obama SHOULD NOT be the candidate for president as he is playing the Americans for his own selfish needs. Vote McCain or Clinton & stop worrying about what people are wearing and start worrying about the future of this country.

Your comments show your lack of fashion sense. As always Clinton's outfit was attractive & looked great on her.
