Missing woman

Missing Des Plaines-area woman Anu Solanki is alive and has apparently fled the Chicago area with a man she had been in contact with for about a year. It costs more than $250,000 to search for her. After a year of agonizing over missing women like Nailah Franklin and Stacy Peterson, one would think women who choose to leave their spouses and families would consider the toll it might take on loved ones and the public.

Another confused chick not mature enough to be in a committed relationship.

Message to Anu Solanki: We are all hoping u have a substantial reason for eloping. If not, such an action like urs, could jeopardize searches for really missing women.

Anu Solanki may not have committed a crime, but her irresponsible behavior has cost taxpayers a lot of money. And more than that, her juvenile decision took manpower and resources away from searching for those who truly are missing. Did she honestly believe that she could fall off the face of the earth and no one would search for her? I don't believe it. Solanki should be held financially accountable for her actions, and should be personally apologizing to each and every kind person who took time to search for her.

You are absolutely right. Mrs. Anu Solanki should have just been honest with her husband, letting him know she didn't want to be married anymore. Instead, she took the easy, sneaky and most dishonest way out. I personally believe she should pay back the money it took to search for her. It would only be fair. It's a serious issue when someone is reported missing. So much time and patience is put into it and it leaves families hurt and very confused. She needs to talk to Ms. Franklin or Mrs. Peterson's family to know what it feels like to really be missing.

I recently read that no charges are being taken against this woman who left on this romance with her secret boyfriend. I find this utterly ridiculous. All that money and man power wasted. You know there was some way she knew what was going on here and she didn't even pick up a phone until the search was over. Who's going to pay the money back?
