Cambodians deserve justice - BackTalk

Cambodians deserve justice

After 28 years, leaders of the Khmer Rouge have been arrested and charged.
Their leader, Pol Pot, died before he could be brought before an international tribunal for the deaths of 1.7 million Cambodians in the mid-to-late 1970s.
But the first of five of their other leaders was in court this week on charges of crimes against humanity.
Hopefully, there will finally be justice for the Cambodian people who survived the Killing Fields.
They have not forgotten the genocide, and refugees in Chicago have built the first Cambodian American Heritage Museum and Killing Fields Memorial.

People were killed simply because they had an education or wore glasses. They were forced into labor, tortured, and many died of starvation, disease and exhaustion.
Those responsible for these atrocities need to be held accountable. This would give closure to the Cambodian people who have never forgotten the Killing Fields.

Typically in racially divided Chicago, I would agree with Beavers assertions regarding the lack of cooperating with Stroger's burdenous tax increases. However, as an African American Resident of Chicago, I have to say that the consensus that I have heard among my Affrican American Associates is that "we" do not back Stroger either !!! This politician was not voted in by us. He inherited the title. Also, he has "hurt" many African American Chicagoans by cutting jobs and crucial , lifesaving services.

In my opinion and many other African American Democratic Chicagoans, STROGER AND BEAVERS DO NOT SERVE US. THEY SERVE THEMSELVES AND THEIR CRONIES ONLY !!!

Personally I find Stroger to be arrogant, insensitive and frankly not very intelligent. I am black and I do not support Stroger. In this case , I think this truly was a case of the " BIG ARROGANT HOG WITH THE BIG BALLs" being a blowhard and wrongly playing the RACE CARD for his and Strogers own interest.

We have enough "real" cases of institutionalized racism to deal with. These 2 should be ashamed of themselves. They should know that "us black folks" see them for what they are !!!
