Performers were announced today for the cumbersomely titled "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" concert scheduled to air live at 8 p.m. Dec. 3 on CBS.
Yes, instead of just announcing the Grammy nominations early in the morning when only industry insiders are up and paying attention, the Grammy group this year has made a one-hour TV concert special out of it, featuring multiple-Grammy winners Celine Dion, the Foo Fighters, B.B. King, John Mayer and Grammy nominee Taylor Swift.
More performers will be announced later.
The televised event will announce nominations in only six categories. The rest, we assume at this point, will be announced regularly, off camera.
