So many stars arrived on the small red carpet, E! is having a hard time managing the flow. Poor Teri Hatcher (Susan on ABC's "Desperate Housewives") literally got bumped off the interview stage for an arriving Lisa Edelstein (Dr. Lisa Cuddy on "House). Juliana Rancic quickly brought Hatcher back up and Edelstein and Hatcher had to paste their best fake smiles an chat with each other. High-larious.
The cluster and late arrivals explained: a bomb scare stopped all the limos per Eva Longoria-Parker (Gabrielle Solis on "Desperate Housewives" ).
Eva says she doesn't care about being nominated for an Emmy. Riiiiiight. If you believe that, you probably believe Edelstein and Hatcher are BFF.
Next up with Seacrest: Glenn Close. She's wearing a black Armani dress. She probably shouldn't wear all black with such pale skin.
Have to love actress Jamie Bergman (married to David Boreanaz who plays Seeley Booth on "Bones"). She has a cheat sheet to remember what she is wearing. "I'm from Utah, you know," she says. "We have Nordstrom's and that's it."
Boreanaz looks dashing in a tux from Dolci Gabbana, but loses points for his striped socks from Paul Smith.
Evanston native Jeremy Piven ( nominated tonight for his role as Ari Gold on "Entourage") is next.
"What does everyone say when they see you in the street," Rancic asks.
"It' kind of amazing. People think you get tired of hearing it and the reality is when you grow up in Chicago and you're on the stage doing your thing for a very limited amount of people and then you have a bigger stage to play on, it's a beautiful thing and it never gets old."
Seacrest is up with Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Nominated for the title role on "The New Adventures of Old Christine). She's wearing an elegant pink dress from Narciso Rodriguez (Is it me or are Rodriguez dresses all over the red carpet tonight).
Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo on "Desperate Housewives") and Sarah Paulson make their way to Seacrest. Seacrest asked the same question he asked of Longoria-Parker (how does the five year flash forward effect your character). The E! camera crew cut away to "Mad Men" actress Christina Hendricks showing ample cleavage in a slinky forest green dress.
Rachel Griffiths is wearing a simple brown, spaghetti-strapped dress. What's the matter Rachel? Couldn't bother to dress up tonight?
Jay Manuel is critiquing fashions now. He describes "Ugly Betty" star Vanessa William's printed dress from Kevin Hall as a "mermaid sillouette."
America Ferrera is in all black.
