Amy Winehouse is scheduled to perform at next month's Grammy Awards — reminding audiences that, aside from getting herself embroiled in crazy personal problems, she's also a helluva singer — and she's mulling a collaboration for the Feb. 10 performance. Possibly with Chicago rapper Kanye West. ...
West — who leads the Grammy nominations with eight, including best rap album and album of the year — allegedly has expressed an interest to perform with Winehouse.
"She's planning to do some sort of soul and Motown medley, and is even weighing up the possibility of a duet with some U.S. stars — particularly Kanye West, who has spoken in the past of wanting to work with her,” an unnamed "Grammy insider" told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.
Winehouse has not performed live since she canceled the final dates of her British tour in November.
The same insider told the Mirror: "Her live performances can either be spectacular or car-crash territory but, either way, it's a gamble organizers are willing to take as she's such hot property."
