LAS VEGAS — The Academy of Country Music Awards will be held in Las Vegas for a sixth year, but will move from Tuesday night to Sunday. ...

The awards will be presented May 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. CBS will broadcast the show live.

‘‘Las Vegas is an ideal place for the Academy to showcase country music’s best and we couldn’t be happier to have the show on a Sunday night,’’ Executive Director Bob Romeo said Monday in a statement.

The event will include multiple nights of country music on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and a celebrity Motorcycle Ride for the Academy’s charitable fund.
