Though the splash and sizzle of media days is a bit more subdued here at the auto show, I'm pleased to report that there is still plenty to see. There is still a sea of cars that a single person can't possibly make it through in a day. Chrysler still has its off-road track, Chevrolet has a huge Transformer towering in its display, and there are a plethora of swirling twirling concept cars on platforms throughout both the North and South halls.
A couple of must sees:
- Toyota Prius
- Nissan Cube
- Chevrolet Stingray Concept
- Mazda MX-5
- Chrysler off-road track
- Kia Forte
Whether you're looking for a new car or just want to see the pretty, you won't be disappointed. The show officially opens to the public on Friday and stays in town through Sunday, Feb. 22. For a new take on an old Chicago saying: Come early and come often.
