GM's launches at the show

camaro_blog.jpg

I just learned which two vehicles General Motors is planning to reveal at this year's Auto Show. While I can't tell you what they are just yet, I can tell you what they're not launching: a production model of the Camaro. Which, I suppose, is a very good thing for Dodge, since they are launching their production model of the Challenger.

But I think it could have been a lot of fun to see two American icons duke it out for top dog in the pony car race at show. But perhaps that's just me. Is anyone else out there in cyber space excited to see the return of some muscle in the American lineups? What car would you most like to see return to the streets: Camaro? Challenger? Something completely different?

This week Jill is driving an Infiniti QX56. Would you like to see a blog entry on the car du jour? Send Jill an e-mail at jciminillo@suntimes.com.

Are you kidding me?? The Challenger OfCourse. The Camaro is a stale idea that has had some decent years but alot of awful years too. The Challenger had a very short life due to fuel problems in the world but what a short life it was.

Well one reason to buy the Camaro over the Challenger.. Nope, sorry I cant think of one. The Camaro will not match up to the appearance of the masculine new Challenger. The Challenger has created a dominating name for itself that the Camaro just doesn't have. Sorry chevy guys, Dodge should be sitting atop of the muscle car race once again as they did in the late 60's to early 70's with their reborn brute.
