Because when you think glitz, glam and high fashion, you think ... Sheryl Crow?

Er, well, that's who's headlining the event now known as Macy's Passport Presents Glamorama 2013. Cirque du Soleil also will bring its current Vegas production to Chicago for the event.

Macy's Glamorama is an annual fashion show -- a touring couture-meets-concerts event hitting Chicago as well as Minneapolis, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Past musical performers have included Cee-Lo Green, Far East Movement, Cyndi Lauper, Robin Thicke, even Beyoncé.

Crow is still billed in press releases by her "Tuesday Night Music Club" success of exactly 20 years ago, but more recently she's gone country. She signed with Warner Music Nashville, her most recent tour stops in this market have been Joliet and Waukegan, and her new country album is due in September. A twangy single, "Easy," hit iTunes in March.

The Chicago Glamorama stop arrives Aug. 9 at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park downtown. Tickets are $75 for show only; $175 and $285 for show and after-party; $1,000 for VIP show and after-party -- all available June 6 (though the inevitable presale for American Express cardholders starts May 30). Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
