Viola Davis wins award tonight at Chicago International Film Festival

Academy Award nominee Viola Davis will receive the Chicago International Film Festival Career Achievement Award during the Festival's Black Perspectives program, joining the ranks of other celebrated actors including Morgan Freeman, Halle Berry and Sidney Poitier.

The event will be held tonight at the AMC River East 21 Theater. Catch Davis on the red carpet at 6:30 p.m.

The 48th Chicago International Film Festival runs until Oct. 25.
