Master Chef search stops in Chicago Oct. 20

Willing to share a secret family recipe? Prepare it for the Master Chef scouts and you could pack your knives and head out to compete on the next series. Gordon Ramsey and his team -- restauranteur Joe Bastianich and Chicago chef Graham Elliot -- are searching for the next best home cook.

Amateur cooks who have the talent for creating meals for people who crave your leftovers are invited to the open casting call for the hit show. Come prepared to offer tastings -- there are no kitchen facilities -- though contestants are given time to plate the dishes.

The Master Chefs open casting call is Oct. 20 at Le Cordon Bleu, 361 W. Chestnut St. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
