For ladies of a certain age, John Taylor broke hearts.

When the band had to cancel their August Ravinia Festival show in August due to Nick Rhodes illness, the fans whose allegiance to John were left waiting for his fall book release to get their fix.

The bassist and founding member of Duran Duran heads to City Winery Oct. 30 for an evening sharing stories from his new memoir, debuting stateside today, "In The Pleasure Groove: Love, Death & Duran Duran."

Tickets are $12 and are on Tuesday for Vinophile members, and on sale for the general public Thursday. Doors open at 5:30, and John Taylor hits the stage at 7:30. Superfans who have a copy of Taylor's book can seek his autograph.
